WELCOME

The Bible Home is a church located in the mountains of Central Japan about 3 hrs northwest of Tokyo. It borders on a vast national forest and the Oze-Nikko National Park, so it is surrounded by nature. The Bible Home was started in 1965 by Swiss missionary Miss Emmi Schyndrig. It functions as a church, camp, and retreat facility for bgroups or individuals. It has a natural hot-spring (onsen) bath. There are hiking trails, rivers, and lakes for recreation. Tennis courts, a gymnasium, and other facilities are available. We have our own canoes

The Bible Home is open all year long. Each season has its own special appeal: Spring - Skiing possible until early May, mountain vegetables (sansai) abound; Summer - Enjoy the cool, clean mountain air and many natural outdoor activities; Fall - The fall colors are beautiful and mushrooms can be found; Winter - Since this is part of snow country skiing and snow-shoeing is always great.
